On 01/04/2014 Nayax and "Wuhan Pass" Card Company collaborated to enable the use of Wuhan Pass Cards at vending machines across Wuhan City.
Wuhan is the capital of China's Hubei province, recognized as the political, economic, financial, cultural, educational and a popular city to visit in central China. Wuhan is a major transportation hub, with dozens of railways, roads and expressways passing through the city. With a population of more than 10 million and area of about 8.5 million square km Wuhan city plays a key role in China's domestic transportation, and referred to as the "Chicago of China."
Accepting the development request by one of Nayax's clients in Wuhan, to allow their vending machines to accept Wuhan Pass cards, Nayax's engineers and developers collaborated with Wuhan Pass engineers to achieve the integration. Wuhan Pass readers are now connected directly Nayax's Amit 3.0, Nayax leading Telemetry unit, installed inside the vending machines. Researchers showed that Wuhan city commuters use Cash and Wuhan Pass for small ticket purchases in a ratio of 1:3 respectively. The pilot was first launched in March 2014 with a launch of 50 machines in Early April. The Nayax solution will be integrated into more vending machines throughout the year. Now vending machines accepts the Wuhan Pass cards and machine operators can monitor the Wuhan Pass transactions on the Nayax system in real time. Mr. Min, President of TuLan Vending, a Vending Machine Operator in Shenzhen and Wuhan said: "Without using Wuhan Pass on our machine, we can reach only a third of our business potential; Nayax helped us to solve the problem of installing Wuhan Pass card readers on our Fuji machines in a short time, which helped us to double our sales in only 2 weeks of usage". Nayax will continue to develop new abilities and features, accepting new challenges from clients all over the world to achieve more sales and efficiency through innovation.
