Nayax Announces Integration with Conecs in France, Supporting Leading EMV-Based Meal Vouchers

HERZLIYA, Israel, June 19, 2023 – Nayax Ltd. (Nasdaq; TASE: NYAX), a global commerce enablement and payments platform designed to help merchants scale their business announced that they have integrated with Conecs, a French platform that supports leading EMV-based meal vouchers: Edenred, UP, Bimpli, and Sodexo.

This integration will revolutionize the office experience, as it means that vending machines, micro markets, and coffee machines with a CRT agreement will be able to accept meal vouchers cards. 120,000 businesses provide their employees with meal vouchers, so operators that use Nayax devices will begin to see higher revenues from machines that sell food or beverages, as workers begin to use their meal vouchers at these machines.

Giving employees food and beverage options on site provides them with a convenient experience, and adding an easily accessible payment option makes the experience even more seamless. Nayax’s integration with Conecs will also generate more of a demand for micro markets that sell healthier and more filling meal options such as salads, sandwiches, and other ready-made meals. Micro markets are a perfect option for the workplace as they can be adapted to any space and allow workers to simply grab something to eat or drink and pay for it with their meal vouchers at a self-checkout kiosk such as Nayax’s Nova Market.

“As a global leader in the world of payments, we are constantly innovating in order to offer the most seamless, frictionless payment experience for consumers in any local market,” says Yair Nechmad, Co-Founder and CEO of Nayax. “This means that we look at each market as a world within itself, understand consumers’ needs, and provide the technological solution in order for each and every consumer to be able to pay the way they want.”

“The collaboration between Conecs and Nayax has been exemplary. Each party involved  has taken a step toward the other to facilitate the integration of payments via Meal Vouchers with a Conecs logo on Nayax devices, ” declared Frédéric Amsler, Deputy General Manager of Conecs. “Conecs developed a specific API adapted to proximity payment on an unattended machine that Nayax has integrated into its solution. This allows Conecs to develop its technical acceptance network for meal vouchers and to set the volume of transactions for its customers. For their part, vending or coffee machines or micro markets with Nayax devices will be able to offer employees a way to pay with their Titre-Restaurant card, issued by Conecs.”

Le Bon Bocal, which sells preprepared meals to office spaces, is looking forward to workers being able to pay for their Bon Bocal meals with meal vouchers. Le Bon Bocal uses Nayax devices on its vending machines, which they discovered via GTI, a Nayax distriubutor in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. “Nayax was able to accompany us as we developed to be able to accept all existing restaurant voucher payment solutions on the market” said Julian Icard, Co-founder of Le Bon Bocal. “We are very happy with the support we have received and for Nayax’s responsiveness to the acceptance of all Conecs network cards. It is a game changer for our turnover and for our customers’ satisfaction.”

About Conecs

Founded in March 2012, Conecs is a technical operator that manages a platform that enables the acceptance of electronic transactions for Digitalized Restaurant Vouchers (TRD) in France. CONECS’ role is to technically develop the acceptance network, either directly or through partnerships, so as to carry out the acquisition of meal voucher card transactions issued by its customers (Edenred France, Up group, Sodexo Pass France, and Bimpli) and bearing the CONECS logo regardless of the channel used: “Proximity” via electronic payment terminals (TPE), “Online” for e-Commerce sites, or via Unattended card readers. Issuers can thus operate on a private model with their own acceptance network. Conecs reached 1 million transactions per day in 2023, which shows the relevance and adherence of the entire ecosystem including issuers, authorized merchants, managers of TPE parks, payment players (PSP , acceptance system,…) to this technical model.
