Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing and overseeing robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes in a fast-growing global fintech organization. You will support financial reporting, manage reconciliations, and contribute to operational improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The Assistant Controller will report to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support company growth and scalability.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, including accounts payable, accruals, billing, revenue recognition, payroll entries, fixed assets, and intangible assets reconciliation.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliation for balances and transactions.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages and deliver accurate insights.
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries’ finance teams, providing guidance, support, and alignment across operations while assisting with external annual audits.
  • Address tax-related matters, including transfer pricing studies and annual tax filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead ad hoc projects related to accounting and finance, driving operational efficiency and process improvement.
  • Contribute to the SOX implementation process, ensuring proper documentation and management of testing results.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools (NetSuite is a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
