Description
Nayax is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Risk Director to join the company. In this role, you will lead the design and establishment of a comprehensive risk management framework for a global leading fintech group. You will assess, evaluate, and manage risks across the business, building a robust risk function, establishing risk policies and procedures, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and fostering a culture of risk awareness.
The Risk Director will report to the Chief Legal Officer.
IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:
- Analyze current risks and identify potential risks affecting the company.
- Create risk policies and procedures.
- Lead the risk management for the global group, across all verticals, lines of business and territories in which the group operates.
- Establish tailored risk management processes for unique lines of business, including advanced financial services, credit issuance, crypto related services, and more.
- Evaluate the organization’s past risk management strategies and compare potential risks with defined criteria, such as cost implications and legal requirements.
- Establish the company’s risk tolerance levels and implement measures to align with those thresholds.
- Develop and manage risk management.
- Deliver tailored risk reports to different stakeholders, including:
- Educating the board of directors on significant risks.
- Ensuring department heads understand risks relevant to their areas.
- Supporting individuals in recognizing their accountability for specific risks.
- Communicate external risks, including corporate governance concerns, to stakeholders.
- Design and implement business continuity plans to mitigate risks.
- Build a risk-aware culture by providing training and support across the organization.
Requirements
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH:
- Proven extensive experience managing the risk function in an organization, or similar senior role in risk.
- Ability to manage a substantial function in a global corporation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Industrial Management, or a related field;
- Experience the fintech industry — strong advantage.
- Experience working within a large, complex global organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to understand and address broader business issues.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
