Gireve and Nayax team up to streamline CPO operations and ensure AFIR compliance

This strategic collaboration delivers seamless, plug-and-play payment enablement to all CPOs connected to Gireve’s roaming hub, with no additional integration.

Nayax and Gireve, a leading European EV roaming hub connecting eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) and Charge Point Operators (CPOs), today announced a new partnership that will simplify and accelerate card-present payment acceptance across the EV charging ecosystem.

Through this strategic cooperation, any CPO connected to Gireve’s network will be able to activate Nayax’s payment devices instantly. This is an innovative technical breakthrough that enables card-present transactions directly from a roaming platform, marking a significant step forward in the interoperability and accessibility of EV charging payments.

The new solution simplifies compliance for operators across Europe. With the approaching AFIR (Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation) deadline, operators need a simple solution to ensure price transparency and support the generation of digital receipts for every transaction. CPOs also benefit from the reliability, transparency, and flexibility of transactions, as well as a suite of loyalty tools that can be used to boost customer engagement.

The solution also enhances the user experience for EV drivers by allowing them to pay with their preferred payment method – card-present. Other added-value features include price transparency and real-time charging session information, either at the payment terminal or to their phone by scanning a QR.

“Now, any CPO connected to Gireve’s network can activate Nayax’s card-present payment devices instantly, bringing true plug-and-play payment capabilities to EV charging,” said Yinon Raviv, Chief Business Expansion Officer of Nayax. “By addressing one of the industry’s biggest pain points and improving both operator efficiency and user convenience, this collaboration aligns with Nayax’s innovative approach to streamlining the EV ecosystem.”

“Partnering with Nayax is a strategic move to simplify the complex payment landscape for our CPOs,” said Dani Saadawi, Business Developer at Gireve. “We are removing the technical barriers to AFIR compliance and enabling our network to offer a more flexible, driver-friendly payment experience. It’s about making compliance simple and operations smoother.”
