HERZLIYA, Israel, March 5, 2025 – Nayax K.K. (Nasdaq: NYAX; TASE: NYAX), a global commerce enablement and payments platform, announced today that its payment terminal VPOS Touch has been adopted for Tabinoukun, the hometown tax donation IoT vending machine promoted by RCG Inc.
After a ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on March 6, 2025 at Lake Ogawara Roadside Station in Tohoku Town, Aomori Prefecture, donations by credit card will start being accepted across Japan.
In the conventional hometown tax payment system, the multi-step process took several weeks to go from payment application to gift shipment. Developed to meet the needs of people who want to receive gifts on the spot while traveling, Tabinoukun offers a new experience of donation, with credit card payment and gift receipt produced immediately. It is enabled by the Nayax payment terminal which has a simple touch display where credit cards, for even very high payments, can be used in three ways: touch payment, IC payment, and magnetic payment.
Building a streamlined payment scheme for hometown tax payment on vending machines with the conventional system was a very challenging task. But it has become a reality and starting in March 2025, the system will be introduced to municipalities across the country, with plans to install around 1,000 units over the next fiscal year.
