As a Transaction Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting transaction monitoring reviews, with a particular focus on retrospective transaction monitoring. You will support the implementation of AML/CTF procedures, perform internal reviews, and contribute to ensuring compliance with the Company’s AML/CTF framework as well as local and EU regulatory requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the AML/CTF Policy, related procedures, and transaction monitoring processes
- Collaborate closely with Group AML/CTF teams within Nayax, outsourced service providers, clients regarding transaction monitoring matters
- Perform generated alerts/cases review in line with internal procedures: standardized investigations templates, comments and escalations scenarios
- Review internal escalations and conduct in-depth investigations into potentially suspicious activities detected during real-time and retrospective transaction monitoring
- Assist in developing and implementing transaction monitoring scenarios and AML/CTF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Escalate cases to the MLRO and Fraud Manager when necessary (e.g., detection of suspicious activity or when higher-level consultation is required)
- Support the MLRO and Fraud Manager in ensuring the Company’s adherence to AML/CTF regulatory obligations
- Participate in the AML/CTF training program.
- Actively contribute as a team member by assisting with emerging tasks and recommending process improvements based on daily observations.
- Meet and maintain assigned KPI targets.
Requirements
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- University degree in Law, Economics, or Business administration or similar is a plus
- 1-2+ years of related working experience in financial sector or finance department of a law firm
- Experience in AML area/ KYC, financial crime and knowledge of national and EU financial services and AML/CTF regulations
- Proactive, “can-do” attitude, organizational and analytical skills, team player, accuracy and strong problem-solving, interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with sensitive information
- Analytical and investigative skills to detect suspicious patterns and conduct thorough reviews
- Full professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English languages (knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage)
- AML certification (e.g. CAMS, ICA), attendance of qualification courses would be an advantage
