Finance Manager (Controller)

Nayax is looking for a Finance Manager who will perform overall financial control and be responsible for financial operations and reporting of the company, accounting and treasury activities ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, and providing strategic guidance to senior management, as well as ensure Company’s client funds are protected and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations and reporting of the Company, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, and providing strategic guidance to senior management;
  • Prepare financial, regulatory and management reports needed for the Company’s activity;
  • Review and improve financial control, as well as prepare and monitor reconciliation process reports (all client funds, including processed/ acquired money, e-money, card payments acquiring/ issuing fees), for example prepare daily, and monthly reports to evidence the correct handling of safeguarded monies, ongoing maintenance reports;
  • Analyze the data (while using statistical and analytical techniques) and provide insights on financial statements, market trends, customer behavior, and operational metrics, to evaluate the performance, financial risks and opportunities of the Company and/ or Nayax group, as well as present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management;
  • Assist in the management of budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes;
  • Supervise the monthly, quarterly and annually closing process and ensure accuracy of financial records including account payable team, accruals, billing team, revenue recognition, payroll journal entries, fixed assets and intangible assets reconciliation, cash flow and liquidity;
  • Supervise the intercompany reconciliation balances and transactions, outgoing payments and collection;
  • Perform SOX control procedures while ensuring testing results are properly managed and documented;
  • Suggest quantitative monitoring and tracking tools improvements;
  • Collaborate with different teams in the Company and across Nayax group, including business analysts, legal, compliance, and product managers, gather the data and provide financial and analytical support;
  • Support the Company’s General Manager in day-to-day financial management activities;
  • Evaluate and apply new methodologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis;
  • Participate in creating reports, dashboards, and other visualizations of financial and/or Company’s activity data;
  • Cooperate and coordinate with internal and/ or external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities;
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and regulations in the financial markets and industry;
  • Participate in Ad hoc accounting and finance-related projects as per Company’s and/or Nayax group need.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience (internship not included) in corporate finance, capital markets, investment banking, big 4 accounting companies or other similar companies;
  • Experience in publicly traded company or Hi-tech/Fin-tech companies is an advantage;
  • Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Experience with Income Tax (ITA) and VAT tax fillings;
  • Experience of NetSuite ERP system user is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and reporting;
  • Full professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English languages (knowledge of other languages would be an advantage).
